Synopsis/Description: Werewolves can be dangerous if you get in their way, but they'll leave you alone if you are careful. They are very good at hiding their natures from the human population, but I'm not human. I know them when I meet them, and they know me, too.

Mercy Thompson's sexy next-door neighbor is a werewolf.

She's tinkering with a VW bus at her mechanic shop that happens to belong to a vampire.

But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself ... and her connection to the world of things that go bump in the night is about to get her into a whole lot of trouble.
First line of Book: I didn't realize he was a werewolf at first.

Review: You know how sometimes you read a book that's a little out of your comfort zone but you end up liking it a lot more than some books inside it? That's what happened.

I love Mercy. She totally kicks ass and is irreverent and so awesome without showing off. I liked her almost instantly. Adam... not so much, but I ended up loving him too! My love of werewolves is growing due to this series, really! My favorite though, the one I can probably relate the most, is Stefan. Who doesn't love a vampire with a Mystery Machine Van? I do. He's now the epitome of what all vamps should be but are not. Well, not really but I still like him.

The story is really good, with a great plot and good writing and some really good twists. I especially liked the importance of body language to werewolves. That was really interesting. That and what Mercy is, I'd never heard of walkers before.

I will continue reading this series, and I think I'm going to give my copy to the library and get one in English, but not now.
I recommend it, even if you don't usually read adult fantasy, because this is REALLY GOOD.
Rating: 4/5
Quotes from book:
"Mine" he said.
Adam's eyes narrowed."I don't think so.She is mine."
It would of been flattering,I thought, except that at least one of them was talking about dinner and i wasn't certain about the other."

"Bran was the only person I knew who could use words like "blackguard" and make them sound like swear words-but then he could have said "bunny rabbit" in that tone of voice and weaken my spine with the same shiver of fear."
