Review: Crime books aren't really my thing. They usually don't get more than two, three stars max. So why did this get four?
Well, for once, it's really good. Good enough to make me keep turning the pages, good enough-unpredictable enough- to make me gag when some things happened, good enough so that I only knew what was happening when Mr Patterson wanted me to know them.
Yes, it was that good.
Patterson balances the main character's personal and work lives really well, and though it was mainly written from Lindsay's POV, the killer gets to speak too. In fact, another thing I loved so much was that we already knew who the killer was. Well, sort of, that's how good Patterson is.
I already knew The Women's Murder Club TV series (and I loved it-when I was still watching it) but I still didn't know it would be this good.
I've already ordered 2ND CHANCE and I'd recommend this one for those who either like the genre and want something good in it, or those, like me, who don't usually read this kind of books but want to get out of their comfort zone.

I'm not a great fan of mistery novels either, so I'll follow your advice. :)
i hardly read crime fiction but it seems for this one, you got me there. James Paterson, I know, is a good in this genre. Thanks for the insight into this book.
